Before Aavegotchi launches on Mainnet, we will hold three distinct Raffle events, each with a separate theme.
The first Raffle begins on Nov. 10, 2PM UTC and features our good frens: the Link Marines.
(Can you guess what the next one will be? Hint: Aavegotchi recently tweeted about them…)
At the end of this post is a step-by-step guide to buying Raffle tickets and entering the Raffle. But first, let’s answer some common questions about Raffles!
Frequently Aasked Questions
What can I win?
In total, there are 6010 prizes up for grabs. Each prize is an ERC1155 Voucher that will be redeemable for an analogous Wearable when Aavegotchi launches on Mainnet.
Can prizes be traded?
Of course. Just like Raffle tickets, Wearable Vouchers follow the ERC1155 standard and can be freely traded on Opensea or other NFT marketplaces that support ERC1155s.
Will my tickets automatically be entered from my wallet?
No, you need to manually enter your tickets into each Raffle. Tickets that are not entered into our Raffle smart contract will not be eligible to win.
How long do I have to enter my tickets?
Once the Raffle begins, you’ll have 72 hours to enter your tickets. The Raffle duration is fixed and cannot be extended.
How are the winners being selected?
Our Raffle is #PoweredByChainlink™️, Chainlink VRF to be specific. After the Raffle ends, a “Draw Random Number” button will appear on the UI that anyone can click to generate a provably random number using Chainlink VRF and select winners.
How do I know if I’ve won?
Once winners have been selected, you can use the Aavegotchi Raffle dashboard (see below) to view your prizes. If you didn’t win any, better luck next time!
If I don’t win, can I re-enter my tickets in the next Raffle?
Each ticket is only eligible to enter one Raffle. Once it’s entered into the Raffle, it cannot be un-entered (to prevent manipulation).
When will tickets stop being sold?
Technically, never. The GHST Staking contract does not have a “pause” button, so you can keep staking GHST to earn FRENS forever, if you’d like. There may even be some surprise bonuses in the future who those who keep staking…
Will entering early give me an advantage?
No, there is no benefit to entering your tickets early. Just don’t wait too long, otherwise your tickets may get stuck in a Pending transaction when the Raffle ends.
Is the Raffle Contract open source?
Yes, like all Aavegotchi contracts, the Raffle contract is open source and has been vetted by multiple Solidity experts.

Has the Raffle Contract been audited?
Because the Raffles do not deal directly with user funds (just FRENS, which is earned via staking GHST) we did not pursue an audit for this contract. However, we did conduct a bug bounty and made several changes based on the feedback given.
Why can’t I see my prizes?
ERC1155s are new and are not visually supported in most wallets. You can view your prizes on Opensea. The Voucher contract address will be updated here after the Raffle is live.

Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure your FRENS and Raffle tickets are where they need to be!
Step 0: Get GHST and stake it to earn FRENS.

Step 1: Buy tickets

Instructions: Enter the quantity you’d like to buy. The subtotal is how many FRENS you will spend. Click Buy All and confirm transaction.
Step 2: Navigate to the Raffles page

Instructions: Check and see if there are any active raffles. Click to view details.
Step 3: Approve your tickets to be spent

Instructions: Assuming you have purchased tickets, the “Approve All” button in the top right corner will be active. Click the Approve All button and confirm the transaction.
Important Note: Approving your tickets does NOT mean they are entered! Proceed with Step 4 to enter.
Step 4: Enter your tickets (IMPORTANT!)

Instructions: Once your tickets have been approved to enter, the Approve All button will change to “Enter All” and the square button will now say “Enter xxx tickets”.
- If you’d like to enter all your tickets simultaneously, click the “Enter All” button.
- If you’d like to pick which prizes you enter tickets for, you can navigate between prizes using the Left or Right keyboard buttons, or the Left/Right arrows on the UI.
Step 5 (Optional): View the stats for this Raffle

Instructions: You can view how many tickets have been entered in total, or how many tickets you have entered on the Stats page.
Step 6: Enter the Claim Prizes page

Instructions: Once the Raffle has completed and a random number has been drawn, a “Click to Claim Prizes” button will automatically appear. Click the button to proceed to the Claim Prizes page.
Step 7: Claim your Prizes!

Instructions: If you won any prizes, they will be displayed on this page. Click the “Claim All” button to transfer the prizes from the Raffle contract to your connected wallet.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure your receiving wallet supports ERC1155 tokens! We highly recommend using Metamask Wallet to interact with Aavegotchi contracts, since it has the best support for new asset classes like ERC1155.
Step 8: That’s it!

Instructions: After claiming your prizes, the dashboard will show “CLAIMED” next to each prize. If you have claimed your prizes but CLAIMED did not appear next to them, OR you cannot see your claimed prizes in your wallet, please seek assistance in the #support channel in Discord.
