If you have ever wanted to build your own blockchain enhanced mini-game, today is your opportunity to make it a reality! Experienced developers and hobbyists alike are invited to join the Aavegotchi Game Jaam throughout the first week of September. Play-to-earn gaming is on the cusp of going mainstream so why not add NFT game making to your skillset?

Anyone can build with Aavegotchi NFTs

Aavegotchi visual elements and traits exist 100% on the Polygon blockchain. This enables any developer to fetch the users Aavegotchis to use as an in-game avatar with a single contract call!

A number of talents in the Aavegotchi community have already demonstrated the ease of building with gotchis. Over a half dozen mini-games are already live today starring Aavegotchi NFTs. In the coming months we will see the launch of the Aavegotchi Aarcade; a place where the fast growing Aavegotchi community can come to enjoy an assortment of mini-games and compete for rewards. Maybe your game will find a cozy home in the Aarcade!

Gaame Jaam Rules

Game must use Web3 to be able to fetch and play as their Aavegotchis.
Be built in a web based framework (like Phaser) to allow for seamless Metamask integration
Max team size of 4
Owning an Aavegotchi isn’t necessary for building the games
Moralis prize pool requires the use of a Moralis tool

The amazing Web3 development platform Moralis and the NFT gaming juggernaut Polygon Studios are supporting this inaugural Gaame Jaam with 10k USD worth of prizes, all paid in GHST, the Aavegotchi ecosystem token.

$5000 is set aside for the top three general winners and $5000 more rewards are allocated to builders who build making use of Moralis tools. Any participant who owns any Aavegotchi will also see 25 XP rewarded.

The Gaame Jaam is organized by Aavegotchi’s own Pixelcraft Studios who are providing custom tailored resources and hands-on workshops throughout the week. Aavegotchi Phaser Templates are available now so you can jump straight into building your game without any prior knowledge of web3.

These experts will be judging your creation with considerations for game play, design and creativity. Creativity meaning we appreciate game’s that encompass the use of the aavegotchis individual traits to affect gameplay ;)

Register today!

Visit jam.aavegotchi.com and click on the register button to sign you or your team up. You will then be sent an email invite to the Gaame jaam’s Discord channel, where you can chat, share and team up with other applicants.

Once applied, submit a short video demo of your game along with the link to the Github repo before the end date to be in with a chance of winning big prizes!

The opening ceremony will be Wednesday, September 1 at 10am EST / 2pm UTC with Coder Dan giving a key note and members of the team introducing the various resources all will have at their disposal.

Daily office hours are also set aside for jaammers to get hands-on assistance from Aavegotchi core team like Coyote and Candoizo. Check the calendar and join the opening ceremony for full details.
