CoinMarketCap former CTO joins Aavegotchi as Technical Advisor
Another galaxy brain joins the Aavegotchi development team
Frens, we’re thrilled to confirm that Mauvis Ledford, former CTO at CoinMarketCap (CMC), has joined Aavegotchi’s Pixelcraft Studios as Technical Advisor. Mauvis will play a lead role in scaling The Gotchiverse Realm so that tens of thousands of players can simultaneously enjoy the exciting virtual world when it goes live later this year.
Mauvis is one of the world’s foremost experts at scaling platforms for maximum capacity. During CoinMarketCap’s critical growth years, Mauvis was instrumental in improving internal systems so that the crypto data-aggregator could grow to be one of the most visited websites in the world, consistently ranking as a top 100 global site. The CoinMarketCap Pro API system, which integrates data from over 300 exchanges in real-time worldwide, was also designed, built, and scaled by Mauvis. This track record is enhanced by the fact that he is crypto native, working continually with the ever-evolving assortment of blockchains and standards.

Details for The Gotchiverse Realm were first confirmed this June when Pixelcraft Studios published the game’s litepaper. The ambitious game has been described as the world’s first “DeFi RPG” offering a metaverse that weaves yield farming with deep story telling. The game is structured to roll out in phases with “The Citaadel” slated to launch in December 2021. The first presale of REALM virtual land parcels is set to be distributed via Aavegotchi’s frenly bid-to-earn auctions this September. Exact dates to be announced soon.
