Ex-World of Warcraft Game Designer brings talents to Aavegotchi
Gaming industry veteran David Fried joins the Pixelcraft Studios advisory team to help deliver a compelling Gochiverse!
Hi frens, we are thrilled to announce that David Fried, a senior game industry veteran who previously worked on World of Warcraft, Diablo II, and Warcraft 3, has joined Pixelcraft Studios as Senior Engineer Game Advisor (SEGA!). Fried’s two decades of experience will be put to great use in designing key elements of the Gotchiverse Realm, such as game design, item balance and narrative structure.
Fried spent more than a decade at Blizzard Entertainment, designing economy and writing campaign levels for Warcraft III and The Frozen Throne, as well as aiding early development of quests for World of Warcraft. Beyond Blizzard, Fried has worked on games such as Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, Silent Hill: Homecoming and Wasteland 3.
“Game Design comes down to a logical and empathetic understanding of the player experience, combined with a love for a setting and genre. There are right answers for the specific genre, style, and platform of game you want to make. I draw from my expansive knowledge base to find those answers.” — David Fried
We are extremely excited to see top-tier game designers such as Fried joining the NFT gaming revolution, which puts ownership of the game and game assets firmly into players’ hands.
When asked what most peaked his interest about Aavegotchi, David replied with a cryptic yet poignant haiku:
Hoarding Tokens For My Dream
Games and Art Supreme
