Vote to make sure your favorite token gets included in the first Aavegotchi Haunt!

aToken Collateral (known as Spirit Force in Aavegotchi) is a core element of the Aavegotchi game. Each Aavegotchi must be staked with a certain amount of Spirit Force in order to be claimed from the Portal.

For months, we have been building with a variety of Aavegotchi collaterals, each signified by their distinct colors and forehead emblems.

We are excited to announce that based on their strong APY yields or communities, the following aTokens will be included in the official Aavegotchi Launch:

AAVE (Aave)
DAI (DAI)
LINK (Chainlink)
TUSD (True USD)
USDC (Coinbase/Circle)
USDT (Tether)
wETH (Wrapped ETH)

Aave’s lending platform is constantly adding new aTokens backed by strong communities. Today we are nominating four potential tokens that we believe are excellent candidates for inclusion into the Aavegotchi ecosystem, based on market size, APY yield, and community size.

However, ultimately it’s up to you to vote on which tokens get included in the game!

Vote on Twitter / Vote with GHST Token

There are two ways to signal your support for which token you’d like to see listed.

Vote via our official @aavegotchi Twitter Poll
Vote using GHST on the Aavegotchi Snapshot proposal

Results from these two votes will be weighted 50/50 to determine which tokens have the widest community support.

Example:

Token A gets 33% of the Twitter vote but only 10% of the Snapshot vote. It’s overall score is 43.

Token B gets 25% of the Twitter vote and 25% of the Snapshot vote. It’s overall score is 50.

The two tokens with highest overall score will be whitelisted to launch with Aavegotchi.

The vote begins on December 21, 12PM UTC and concludes on December 31, 12PM UTC. Winners will be announced at the Aavegotchi New Year’s Party in Discord (exact time TBA).

Aavegotchi of all collaterals and creeds

An Aavegotchi is an NFT “crypto pet” staked with interest-generating ERC20 tokens known as “aTokens” powered by the Aave Lending Pool protocol. In the simplest terms, one can think of each Aavegotchi as a sort of collectible piggy bank.

Each Aavegotchi is born with its own personality traits, visual traits, and a required amount of aToken to stake. In fact, each Aavegotchi only accepts one specific aToken to be staked as its collateral.

These aToken collaterals are known in-game as “Spirit Force” and each Aavegotchi must maintain a minimum stake of Spirit Force in order to survive in the Ethereum Realm. Fall below the minimum stake and your Aavegotchi’s existence is quickly in danger!

Like traits, collaterals are generated selected by Chainlink VRF, so it’s important that each collateral whitelisted into Aavegotchi has a demand from its community.

Get Ready for Launch!

We’re just two weeks away from the summoning of Aavegotchi Portals onto Ethereum Mainnet. On January 4, 2021, the first Haunt of Aavegotchis will arrive, containing 10,000 Portals. Each Portal is an NFT that contains ten unique Aavegotchis, of which only one can be claimed by the Portal’s owner by staking the required amount of Spirit Force (aTokens).
