Unicly has fractionalized the first Aavegotchis on Ethereum
Aavegotchi has just made NFT history again!
One small step for a gotchi, one giant leap for gotchikind.
Hey frens, we are excited to announce that Aavegotchis, originally minted on L2 Polygon, have successfully journeyed from Polygon back to Ethereum — the first NFTs ever to be minted natively on Polygon and bridged back to Ethereum.
The first crew of gotchis (known as the Aastronauts) have crossed our NFT bridge and returned successfully to Ethereum. Their final destination is the just-launched Unicly, the protocol to combine, fractionalize, and trade NFTs. These historic Aavegotchis are set to be fractionalized into a million pieces represented by the uGOTCHI token.
Within 3 days from launch, Unicly’s Unicswap became the third largest NFT marketplace with $1.1m of transaction volumes. As of today, shards created on Unicly have a combined market cap of more than $10m and the Genesis uUNICLY Collection’s market cap reached over 600x since launch.
It is within these conditions that the Aavegotchi Collection is primed to launch.
uGOTCHI Token
uGOTCHI tokens are minted via Unicly and represent direct ownership of the uGOTCHI Collection. At launch, the collection is comprised of “The Aastronauts”, the first five Aavegotchis to exist on Ethereum.
The collection includes some of the rarest and most expensive Aavegotchis to date. Even when nakey, these Aavegotchis already boast very high rarity scores and super rare eyes (the only traits that wearables can’t even affect a little bit). But these ERC-721 Aavegotchis are not the only NFTs in the collection. Each wearable they have equipped is also an ERC-1155 NFT, many of which are extremely rare and powerful items. We’re talking the likes of:

These gotchis came to Ethereum dressed to impress and, as always, these wearables still offer powerful trait boosting abilities. That’s right, the collection’s Aavegotchis are still able to participate in Rarity Farming Season One (April 20-June 15). While these five Aavegotchis are climbing the Rarity Score leaderboard, they will be farming GHST that is directly deposited into the collection! Each Aavegotchi has a “pocket” which acts as an NFT wallet and is able to hold the GHST tokens earned.
Why Sharded Gotchis?
With Rarity Farming just around the corner, this collection of Sharded Gotchis (including Terrence McKenna, currently #2 on the leaderboard!) allows anyone to own a piece of the action, even without getting an Aavegotchi.
Unic.ly is also preparing a liquidity mining campaign for their governance token UNIC, which can be earned by providing liquidity on the platform to certain whitelisted collections.
